Gender Gap in Immigrant Health

Together with Jehane Moussa and Marco Pecoraro I’m involved in a small project on immigrant health, notably the gender gap in depression and psychological problems.

We can show that these gender differences are due to both socio-economic differences and social capital. It is useful to study immigrants in this regard, as there is more variation in the population on these factors. Of the socio-economic variables, education and being in paid work are dominant.
